WDG TO DESIGN FALLSGROVE CORPORATE CENTER

February, 2001 – Washington, DC, Weihe Design Group, PLLC (WDG) has been selected to serve as architect for the Fallsgrove Corporate Center, an eight-story, 208,000-square foot, Class ‘A’, speculative office building with a 126,000-square foot structured parking garage. It will be the first office component of a planned 257-acre mixed-use development in Rockville, Maryland, which includes additional office buildings, single-family and multi-family residential units and retail space.

Fallsgrove Corporate Center includes a two-story entry wrapped in glass and steel, a lobby with granite and terrazzo flooring, custom wood wall panels and long-span structural system that minimizes columns allowing for easy accommodation of open-plan office furniture systems. Its facade combines precast concrete and glass with earth-toned masonry and cool-tinted glazing. Fallsgrove’s location in the center of the I-270 Technology Corridor provides easy access to the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and all of the region’s three major airports.

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year.

The developer of the project is Lerner Enterprises of North Bethesda, Maryland.
