Dulles Town Center Enjoys Flurry Of Leasing Activity In New Nordstrom Wing Just In Time For The Holiday Season

Dulles, Virginia, December 9, 2002 – Four new retail tenants are currently operational in Dulles Town Center, just in time for the holiday season. H & M, another exciting addition scheduled to open this coming spring at the 1.4-million-square-foot regional super mall, located minutes away from Dulles Airport in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C.

Ann Taylor Loft, featuring moderately-priced adaptations of Ann Taylor career and casual apparel for women and Sharper Image, featuring a full line of innovative products including those “Invented Here” by Sharper Image DesignTM, were the first to open their doors in the mall’s new upscale wing. Bombay KIDS, which features an exclusive collection of classic children’s furniture, textiles and accessories, and Pawsenclaws & Co., offering cuddly products for teddy bear lovers of all ages opened earlier this month.

Scheduled to open in Spring 2003 is H&M – Hennes & Mauritz – a 21,000-plus square-foot clothing retailer from Sweden with a theme centering on “Fashion and Quality at the Best Price.” H & M’s emergence into the Washington, DC market is highly anticipated and presents an exciting new retail concept to the consumer. The arrival of H &M is representative of the rapid growth of the lucrative Northern Virginia market.

The flagship H & M store in Manhattan whose opening was highly touted on Fifth Avenue confirms it’s rapid expansion into the Mid-Atlantic and Washington Metropolitan Area by selecting Dulles Town Center. “The new leasing activity together with Nordstrom, will provide a varied upscale shopping alternative to our clientele,” said Victor Ambrosio, Senior Leasing Agent for Lerner Corporation. “The arrival of the new retailers reinforce the look and feel we had in mind and H & M will deliver an added fashion dimension to the existing mix.”

The mall opened in August 1999 and features more over 150 specialty shops including Abercrombie & Fitch, The Gap, The Disney Store, Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer and Old Navy; The Eatery and outdoor Restaurant Park.
